The procurement function - the central unit between the brand and the manufacturer - plays an essential role; it has a great impact on the labour conditions for workers at the factory floor as well as on the image of a socially responsible company. We assist in-house teams to jointly develop and implement processes adjusted to the given sourcing structure.

Commitment to the improvement of social standards is essential at the supplier level if sustainable change is to be achieved. Gaining commitment is therefore the first step in all our projects, followed by an interactive process of establishing simple but effective SMSs, including the development of policies and the training of staff.

Running the outlined activities is resource-wasting if no improvement is made at the production level. We have therefore moved beyond auditing approaches and focus on solution driven systemic models such as the SUSA-Dialogue-Programme. This enables workers and managers to engage in dialogue about the continuous improvement of the social and economic performance of factories.
